Lamont Patterson
Lamont Patterson is a multidisciplinary force in music, media, publishing, and entertainment. As the CEO and founder of World Movement Records, World Movement Publishing, World Movement Media, and World Movement Enterprises, he has built a creative ecosystem dedicated to artistic authenticity, talent development, and global storytelling.
EARLY MUSICAL ROOTS & RISING TALENT
Music has been at the center of Lamont’s life since childhood. He began singing in the church choir at age five and later embraced the tenor saxophone, inspired by jazz legends John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, and Rahsaan Roland Kirk. His natural talent and discipline quickly set him apart.
After high school, Lamont’s cousin Bobby Sanders—manager of Little Anthony and The Imperials and The Young Hearts—brought him into professional rehearsals. There, Lamont learned stagecraft, choreography, and the behind-the-scenes rigor required of successful performers.
In college, he sang second tenor and wrote lyrics for the R&B group New Birth, touring with iconic Motown-era acts such as The O’Jays, Blue Magic, and The Four Tops.
